We’re delighted that Montessori St Nicholas will be at the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and we’ve got an exclusive opportunity for MSA members to visit our Space to Grow show-garden: The Montessori Centenary Children’s Garden.
2019 marks one hundred years since Maria Montessori first bought her pioneering teaching methods to the UK, and the garden design brief reflects the key principles that lie at the heart of her child-centric approach to education. Like the Montessori teaching method, the garden is child-led yet future-driven, offering an engaging space to nurture children, teaching them about the natural world set alongside hydroponic technology: the future of horticulture.
Enter our Growing Competition to win tickets to an exclusive out of hours’ reception at RHS Chelsea Flower Show; a once in a lifetime opportunity to wander the world famous gardens at your leisure, without the daytime crowds.
We want to see how the garden is used in your Montessori practice; we’re giving you the challenge of growing something that either represents your setting, or that you’d like to see in the Montessori Centenary Children’s Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Submit your photos of the growing process and the flourishing result to us via Facebook or Instagram – tagging @MontessoriUK and using #MontessoriChildrensGarden in the caption to ensure we see your post. Get your submissions in before the competition closes at midday, Monday 1st April, when we’ll be pulling the winning entries out of a hat.
