In September 2019, UK Montessori training providers will come together to deliver a Montessori annual conference at London’s QEII Centre, in the heart of Westminster.

The Montessori Conference 2019 will take place on 28th September 2019 and will mark the 100-year milestone of Montessori training in the UK. Montessori Centre International (MCI), Maria Montessori Institute (MMI), Bournemouth Montessori Centre (BMC) and The Montessori Partnership will host a large-scale, flagship event in one of the UK’s most prestigious conference spaces.

London’s QEII Centre has capacity for around 750 delegates. 14 different breakout sessions are planned, and a globally recognised list of keynote speakers will be announced from January. Further event details, including early bird ticket information, will follow.

Barbara Isaacs, MCI’s Global Ambassador said: “Montessori Centre International is proud to co-sponsor this important conference which will focus on the relevance of Montessori education today and in the future and demonstrate the significant contribution the Montessori approach can bring to the child and society.”

Louise Livingston, MMI’s Director of Training said: The Maria Montessori Institute is delighted to join other UK Training providers in celebrating 100 years of Montessori training in the UK. This innovative approach continues to be relevant today – it supports children to develop a life-long love of learning, grow into critical thinkers, and become active citizens and custodians of the world in which they live.

Martha Mason and Charlotte Warren BMC Directors said: “Bournemouth Montessori Centre is delighted to be on the Steering Committee of this dynamic and exciting joint conference to celebrate 100 years of Montessori education in the UK. As Dr Montessori wrote ‘This is education which feeds a peaceful revolution and unites all in a common aim. This is the bright new hope for mankind’.

Helen Prochazka, Director, The Montessori Partnership said: “With its cosmic curriculum, its focus on independent learning and its gift of firing children’s creative imaginations, Montessori education is uniquely equipped to prepare today’s children for life in the global community. This is a significant conference, and the Montessori Partnership is excited to be one of the hosts.”
