Montessori Delivers New Certificate of Higher Education

Montessori Centre International (MCI) is proud to introduce a new qualification to their course portfolio. The new Certificate in Higher EducationMontessori Early Childhood Practice course launches in September 2015 and is validated by London Metropolitan University.

The course is available full-time over one year and is a Level 4 qualification. The qualification will allow students to work as Montessori practitioners with a relevant qualification.  

Penny Johns, Director of Studies of Montessori Centre International says, “We are delighted to offer this new MCI Certificate of Higher Education for September 2015.   This is the first time we have been able to offer a full-time, one year course with student finance available. The Certificate of Higher Education meets the early years educator criteria and is designed to meet workplace demand for well qualified Montessori early childhood specialists with high levels of professional competence.”

“The new MCI course complements our current portfolio and offers students more choice when deciding which Montessori training pathway is right for them.”

Students on the Certificate in Higher Education will study with, and follow the same modules as, full-time students on the first year of the Foundation Degree. The course combines classroom study with practical training in an approved Montessori setting.

Graduates can work immediately as Montessori Early Years Educators or continue study on the second year of the Foundation Degree in Montessori Early Childhood Practice and gain a Level 5 qualification. Student finance is available to cover course fees and maintenance for eligible students.

MCI also offer a Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy Birth to Seven Early Years Educator, Introduction and CPD courses.
