Montessori Centre International (MCI) will be holding an open afternoon on Wednesday 16 May, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, for prospective students interested in our higher education courses.

During the afternoon, guests will be able to learn more about our two-year Foundation Degree in Montessori Early Childhood Practice and our flexible Certificate of Higher Education in Montessori Early Childhood Practice, which can both be started in September 2018.

Our respected Foundation Degree, which has quickly become popular with students, is the perfect course for those wanting to start a career in Montessori early years education and looking to study further towards a degree. The course is studied full-time over two years at our London College.

Students who have successfully completed their level 4 Diploma with MCI are awarded university credits and can join the second year of the Foundation Degree at level 5. Our innovative blended learning approach combines face-to-face and online learning. Our flexible study options allow you to combine study with work and children.

The open afternoon will also provide guests with information on our Certificate in Higher Education in Montessori Early Childhood Practice, which covers all the practical skills and theoretical knowledge you will need to start working as a Montessori early years practitioner. This course is also delivered via blended learning and flexible study pathways.

As with the Foundation Degree, the Certificate in Higher Education is validated by London Metropolitan University and both include a professional placement in an MCI approved Montessori early years setting.

The courses are highly respected by the Montessori community and both of the courses meet the Early Years Educator Criteria meaning graduates have the freedom to work in Montessori and non-Montessori settings. Eligible students can apply for student loans from Student Finance England and apply for our Birts bursary.

The open afternoon will take place at our new college in St John’s Wood, just an 8-minute walk from the station on the Jubilee line.

Prospective students will hear from our academic team including our Head of Academic Programmes, Penny Johns and dedicated team of tutors. Our admissions team will also be on hand to offer one-to-one guidance about courses, fees and applying for a place with us. We will also have current students at the event to talk about their experience at Montessori Centre International.

Please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions and Registrations Officer, Khuram, if you have any questions about the event or any of our courses. Khuram be contacted on on 020 7493 8300 or admissions@montessori.org.uk
