Introducing the Montessori Approach to Childminders (IMAC)

Your online study will guide you through the Montessori Philosophy and how it can be applied to your daily work with young children in your setting. It will encourage you to introduce new activities and consider how you engage with the children in your care and how you prepare the learning environment in your home. Your reflections on your learning will be shared with an Montessori Centre International (MCI) appointed Mentor.

This course comprises 6 units of study which focus on the principles underpinning the Montessori approach and how they can be applied to childminding practice. The course cost is £300. For more information and to enrol, please contact the Admissions team.

Did you know we have a Childminder Network?

The MSA Childminder Network was formed three years ago as part of Montessori Schools Association (MSA). Being part of the network gives our members the opportunity to meet and support of other home-based Montessori practitioners and to see different childminding settings in order to exchange ideas and experiences. We also encourage our members towards MEAB accreditation through more practical support and workshops.

Our network members meet three to four times in a calendar year and the meetings are held nationwide at childminder settings. We have topical discussions related to Montessori practice, as well as the latest government legislation’s and policies that may affect our home-based practices.
