Who we are

Based in St John’s Wood London, Montessori Centre International (MCI) offers a range of training opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications, professional development for practitioners, courses for childminders, parents or for those who simply want to find out more about Montessori.

MCI is part of the Montessori St Nicholas Charity which seeks to promote and provide exemplary Montessori education by means of training teachers, providing information, advice and support to schools, managing its own schools, and undertaking charitable projects to inform and sustain the Montessori community in the UK.

Who we need

We are looking for someone to support MCI students across a range of courses while they are on professional placement in Montessori settings.

We are looking for someone who has a Montessori qualification, preferably from MCI and three years post qualifying experience. The ideal applicant would have some experience of supporting MCI students as a professional placement tutor or mentor, although further training will be offered.

A degree level qualification is desirable and having completed the MCI Trainers Course is desirable.

You will need to be able to work flexibly as part of a team and autonomously, you will need effective time management skills to balance a challenging workload, prioritise and take responsibility to meet deadlines. There will be a requirement to travel to observe and support students in their placement setting.

What we can offer

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress their career and extend their professional knowledge working proactively within the MCI academic team.

We offer an extensive range of benefits including a generous holiday entitlement, occupational pension scheme and training and development opportunities.

Montessori is an international community and we welcome applications that represent the diversity of our inclusive movement.
