As part of a new initiative to build bridges with other children’s charities, the trustees of Montessori St Nicholas organised and supported a musical evening in support of DebRA. DebRA is the national charity raising money for Epidermolysis Bullosa - a rare genetic and often terminal skin condition in children. An operatic theme saw world famous soprano Sally Matthews accompanied by pianist John Brydon and tenor Finnur Bjarnason perform two hours of operatic arias and music to an audience of 150 people. The evening was hosted by Painters Hall in The City of London and was a tremendous success profiling the aims of Montessori and the needs of DebRA raising over £7,000 for charity.
