Barbara Isaacs invited to speak at House of Lords on behalf of Montessori

Montessori was invited to give evidence to the British Council for School Environments (BCSE) Great Schools Commission , a year long independent investigation into the impact of school environments on educational achievement and proved outcomes for your people, which will report on its findings in March 2010.

 

The Commission, chaired by Baroness Morris of Yardley, and consisting of eleven members representing wide interests from education, local authorities and finance,  is gathering evidence from invited speakers on 1 and 7 December in support of their investigation.  Barbara Isaacs, representing the Montessori St Nicholas Charity,

tabled a paper of the principles on the Montessori learning environment and discussed the benefits derived from  introducing the Montessori Approach at Gorton Mount School in Manchester.
