Midlands Montessorians Enjoy a Regional Event

Our sincere thanks to Martin Bradley and Barbara Isaacs for organising an agenda which ensured every minute of the day was utilised fruitfully. The day flowed effortlessly between each speaker. Martin started off the morning with an update on the news about MSA and MEAB. Barbara then gave a brief outline on the changes in EYFS. This was followed by an extremely informative session where Martin guided us into how to complete the Self Evaluation Form using the correct terminology and cross referencing.

The morning session finished with the presentation of the MEAB plaque to Malvern Montessori. The school has recently gained accredition under the new Montessori accreditation scheme and were unable to join the rest of the accredited schools in London to receive their plaque.

After a delicious lunch when members got a chance to network, Barbara and Martin resumed the meeting by explaining the process of accreditation, followed by Barbara doing an interactive session with delegates on the key implications for Montessori practices arising from EYFS. Barbara ended the session with information about the MCI regional training.

Feedback about the extremely informative and full day has been very positive.
