Benefits of being an accredited school:

Recognition
The most important benefit will be the sense of having your genuine Montessori practice recognised. This will give your nursery, day care or school the opportunity to belong to a group of settings committed to the delivery of high quality Montessori education.
Marketing
You will be able to market your school as a genuine Montessori setting. You will be able to include the MEAB logo on your publicity materials and your website. This will highlight your provision to prospective and existing parents and will set you apart from your competitors.
Your listing on the MSA schools list will include the MEAB logo and have a link to your accreditation report; anyone looking for a school in your area will have access to the information on this website.
Along with your report, and permission to use the MEAB logo, you will also receive the MEAB plaque which will state the three year duration of your accreditation. The MEAB plaques will be awarded at a special ceremony such as the MCI Graduation and MEAB Awards which was held in December 2008 at the Institute of Education, University of London.
The next celebration of MEAB awards will be on December 4th 2009 and will once again be held at the Institute of Education in London. The official receipt of the award is an excellent marketing opportunity for your setting as may be subsequent celebrations with children and their families. Local press and radio are usually very interested in such events and will be happy to publicise it for you, if you give them adequate notice. These events are also covered by Montessori International magazine and on this website.
Attracting Staff
Further benefit is when employing new staff who will know from the outset that your setting is committed to providing the best Montessori practice for the children attending. Your accreditation will also show them a commitment to continued professional development and so opportunities for further learning as they grow as Montessorians. From September 2009 MCI will look to place their students on teaching practice only in MEAB accredited schools.
