Gonzagarredi today is an internationally recognized firm, which is dedicated to designing, manufacturing and selling educational materials and furniture for pre-schools, schools, libraries and cultural centres.

It all began with a meeting between Dr. Maria Montessori and Maria Maraini - her great friend and admirer - at her villa in Palidano near Gonzaga in the 1910s, when the need of materials and furniture for the local �Casa dei Bambini� led the two ladies to a carpenters� shop nearby. Soon after that very first meeting, one of the first production of Montessori materials and furniture started according to the specifications given by Maria Montessori herself.

Since then, though under different company names, the production has continued and extended up to the present days. In fact today, although the production of materials and furniture for Montessori schools is still a primary activity,Gonzagarredi offers a wide range of products and solutions to equip a variety of different educational environments for children - starting from the infant up to the teenager.

In respect of its artisan origin, the Italian designed products are safe, built with the best materials and finishes and comply to the highest European technical standards.
