R6 East Midlands

On 19 November 2011, Helen Everley and her team at Merrydays Montessori School hosted the Regions 5 and 6 training day.  Almost 40 members travelled to Henley in Arden to listen to Wendy Fidler’s talk titled ‘Disparaxia – what it is and how we can help’.

Wendy presented a wealth of information on dyspraxia and its identifying features. Members were then offered valuable advice on the ways practitioners in a Montessori classroom can help the children with dyspraxia, using our equipment and specifically devised exercises.

It was a day full of fun, with members going home having a deeper understanding of the condition, and buzzing with practical ideas to implement in their settings.
