We have contact details of over 600 Montessori schools on our database. We only list schools registered with the Montessori Schools Association (MSA) so there may be additional schools which are not listed. There is no obligation for schools to join the MSA, an organisation which supports Montessori schools and individuals in the UK.
Most Montessori schools in the UK cover the nursery years although a growing number are now offering Montessori into the primary years. This information is included in the school’s listing. They are all privately owned.

We have recently introduced an accreditation scheme to ensure that all schools following the Montessori approach live up to the same high standard. Accredited schools will be indicated by the MEAB logo. Please note that as this is still a very new scheme, it will take some time to visit all the schools on the database and those that do not have the MEAB logo may well be just as good as those that do. Parents are advised to both request a prospectus and visit the school before making any decision.
