This seminar focuses on children's diets and relates these issues of special need, examining dietary requirements, food allergies and additives and colourings.

It looks at preparation and maintenance of the environment and at links with the Early Years Foundation Stage where enabling environments and postitive relationships support the child's unique learning path.

This seminar explores ideas for establishing an outdoor classroom where children have opportunities to learn across all areas of the curriculum and which supports the "free-flow" of learning and the three hour work cycle.

Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 October (10am - 5pm)
This seminar examines education of the senses as the foundation of children's learning. Exploration of traditional Montessori activities is the focus of this seminar. Ideas for extending children's sensorial learning will also be explored.

These seminars will provide you with an opportunity to attend college and familiarise yourself with, or revise, the various modules of work. If you registered prior to January 2009 and are planning to upgrade your certificate it is advisable that you start attending seminars from the beginning of your course as these hours will count towards the required contact hours. Please bring your Attendance Record Form with you so that it can be signed by the lecturer for the relevant number of hours (6 hours for distance learning early childhood seminars).
We hope there are many seminars which will appeal to you in the enclosed programme. Please make this list available to the parents whose children attend your nursery as it is only with their support and understanding that we can work effectively with children.
You are welcome to attend any of MCI's Saturday seminars which will provide you with an ideal opportunity to further your understanding of the Montessori Approach and learn about, or expand your knowledge of a range of, a range of fascinating topics.
Please note that we do not provide lunch, however our ideal location offers students a choice of food within the vicinity of the college. Refreshments - coffee and teas - are provided at a mid-morning break and lunch time.
All seminars must be paid for in full at the time of booking. The fees are as follows:
Seminars cost £55 each, the cost for MSA members is £35. First Aid courses are £90.

The flexible nature of our seminars allows us to confirm bookings on the Monday prior to the specific seminar. MCI reserves the right to change the speaker.
Please note that seminar bookings are not transferable or refundable unless cancelled by MCI. Montessori Centre International reserves the right to cancel any seminar in the event that advanced bookings are below a viable number. Should this occur, all persons will be given 48 hours notice, to the contact details given on the booking form. A credit note will be issued unless otherwise requested. MCI are not liable for any other costs incurred.
