Your Qualification

With more and more parents now both working, there has never been a better time to work in childcare.

Being a Montessori teacher is a responsibility, but it is also one of the most rewarding careers there is.

Good Montessori teachers come from all walks of life from school leavers to mainstream school teachers, artists to office workers, scientists to singers, graduates to grandmothers. It's not so much what people have done that counts as the qualities they bring to the classroom.

Our students have become:

  • Montessori teachers in schools worldwide
  • Montessori nursery owners in the UK and overseas
  • Much sought after Montessori nannies
  • Teachers in pre-prep schools
  • Amazing mothers

An MCI qualification is well-respected and the passport to many careers.

The Montessori Centre International qualification is recognised for work in Montessori schools all around the world but is subject to local regulations.

Graduates holding the Early Childhood International Diploma are qualified to teach in Montessori Nurseries. Students who have completed the part-time and distance learning early childhood course, but not the teaching practice, will be qualified to work as teaching assistants in a Montessori school.

The MCI Early Childhood and Infant Toddler International Diplomas are both to be found on the Children's Workforce Development Council's (CWDC) Early Years & Playwork Qualifications Database.
