Meningitis can strike anyone and its impact lasts a lifetime

Meningitis is a devastating disease. Knowing about it can save lives. The Meningitis Trust is committed to ensuring that as many people as possible know the signs and symptoms of meningitis and its impact on individuals and their families.

In spite of recent medical advances, one in ten people who get meningitis in the UK will die and many more will be left with serious disabilities.

It is these people that the Meningitis Trust has been helping for many years giving the real emotional, practical and financial support needed to help them rebuild their lives. In the case of bereavement, this will be about finding ways to move on, in the case of after-effects, to find ways to adapt to their changing circumstances.
